It is with great pleasure that I announce our 3rd Annual CMA Multi-Chapter Picnic, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 06, 2014, 10:00AM – 4:00PM, Borst Park, Centralia, Washington, presented by the Chapters of Southwest Washington, and Peninsula Chapters of Washington. Our Special Guests will include Tom and Kathie Palazzolo, West Region CMA National Evangelists, Lee and Karen Scholes, Washington State Coordinators, Cliff and Terri Roper, Oregon State Coordinators, with music by The Hanson Brothers and Harbor Faith Riders of Grays Harbor, Washington. As in past years, the "Main Event" is a FREE BBQ Lunch, fellowship, music, and a "Nap." Once Again, the entire event is FREE, however, we are asking that everyone contribute a Casserole, Salad (Potato Salad, Beans, Green Salad, etc.), Desserts, Chips, Etc. Whatever you can successfully bring on your motorcycle, or in your car/truck. Plates, silverware, cups, napkins, coffee, soft drinks, and table cloths will be provided. In order to have sufficient hamburgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs, Shell and I NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU, OR YOUR CHAPTER PRESIDENTS. If the decision is last minute, please come anyway, we will keep serving food until it's gone.
We will have several New CMA members joining us from our Forming Chapter, "Reconciled Riders," Randle, Washington, and CMA Interest groups in Astoria/Long Beach, and Centralia/Chehalis. We also would like to invite ANYONE interested in Local, Regional, or National Christian Motorcyclists Association to join us. Shell and I have visited Churches in Centralia/Chehalis, and have been "warmly" welcomed by The Centralia Community Church of God, and Bethel Assembly of God in Chehalis. Pastor Mark Fast, Community Church of God, and his congregation, introduced most of their bikers to Shell and myself during their second Sunday Service. We appreciate that very much, and Thank You!
For those of you traveling a distance, and have asked about overnight accommodations, there are several motels in the area, and Midway RV Park one mile from Borst Park. To reach Midway RV, head West on Harrison Avenue 8 tenths of a mile to Galvin road. Turn left, and continue driving for about 2 tenths mile. Midway is on the left side of the road, (360) 736-3200. Tent rates are also available. Reservations are suggested. Should desire "dry" camping, Art and Debbie Sporseen of The Olympia Light Riders, have made their farm available to you as well. Please call Art or Debbie at (360) 790-5327 for more information.
DIRECTIONS TO BORST PARK, 500 Pioneer Way.
Exit #82, West on Harrison to first immediate left after the Texaco Station, road takes you directly into Borst Park. We will be set-up at Shelter #1. If you wish to use a left turn stoplight (which may be safer) continue to the FIRST STOPLIGHT. Turn left into the SAFEWAY Parking Lot, and backtrack.
Please do not hesitate to contact Shell, or myself with any questions.
We are looking forward to a Fabulous Time of Food, Fellowship, and Rejoicing!
