JCTRA Help Needed

Through the week of Sunday, July 28th to Sunday, August 4th JCTRA will be doing a major work party to upgrade a large section of trail that has a long history of flooding and creating resource damage.
The scheduled Saturday, July 27th work party has been rescheduled to Sunday, July 28th to support this effort.
Sunday, July 28th we'll need volunteers to help drill holes in peeler cores (logs) to be used for the project. JCTRA and the DNR will be providing drills and generators for that purpose for no personal equipment is necessary. We'll be using the club 6x6's to stage piles of two hole cinder blocks throughout the project area for use next week. Finally we'll be doing some surveying to measure relevant elevations and distances for this project.
Monday thru Wednesday have been ear-marked primarily for excavator work so we won't need volunteers on those days.
Thursday, August 1st is when the work starts. Thursday and Friday we need to get all the cinder blocks set and the peeler cores installed using re-bar. This is all hand work and we'll need as many volunteers as possible for this phase.
As Thursday and Friday are work days for many people, we are going to be working into the evening in hopes that we can get some volunteers to come out in the afternoon/evening to help with this important part of the project.
IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO COME AND HELP OUT IN THE AFTERNOON OR EVENING ON THURSDAY OR FRIDAY PLEASE EMAIL US AT mike.ames@jctra.org AND LET US KNOW THAT YOU'LL BE COMING!!
If you can make it Thursday or Friday later in the day, afternoon, or evening you can find the work site by simply continuing down the road that goes through the Jones Creek Staging Area about a 1/4 mile until you see several large piles of rock on the side of the road. There will also be a few vehicles parked nearby. From there follow the trail backwards (in reverse of the normal direction of travel) for about another 1/4 mile and you'll find the work site.
We'll have this section of trail closed off for the entire week for this project...so you may see some signage indicating a detour or re-route. DO NOT FOLLOW THOSE SIGNS TO REACH THE WORK AREA! Follow the trail in the other direction and you'll come right to the work site.
Saturday and Sunday, August 3rd and 4th we hope to mainly be hauling rock using the club 6x6's and ATV Wagon trailer. We'll still need volunteers to help out Saturday and Sunday, but mainly just during the usual day time work party hours. Saturday and Sundays work parties begin at 9:00AM at the Jones Creek Staging Area.
This is a major project, one of the biggest we've ever tried to complete. We're asking people to dig deep on this one and volunteer as much as you can. We really need the help!
As always, please bring gloves and come dressed for the weather.
You will need a Discovery Pass for this work party HOWEVER THE DNR WILL BE ON HAND WITH TEMPORARY PASSES FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS. This work party is open to the public and does qualify as volunteer hours toward a FREE DISCOVERY PASS.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer your time please contact mike.ames@jctra.org

Sheila,

Could you send out an email asking if anyone has any other money that they have collected?  I need the amounts by Friday morning.  They can email me or they can call.  Home is 360-837-3110, but I am leaving Friday late morning for Long Beach.  The cell is 360-487-9727 for the rest of the weekend.

Also, what is the name of our reps and do you have a telephone number for themP  I am assuming that they want to be called with a total like in past years.  I will also call National with the amount on Saturday morning.  After I return I will get started on the paperwork and collecting any monies.  Thanks.

Blessings,
Lori

We hope you will try to come down and spend the day or weekend with us :)

Truth Be Told

Hi All'
Here is some info I received from Doug M. about the worship band "Truth Be Told" who has played at some of our events.

Hey friends TBT has been busy working up 9 or 10 or maybe 11 new classic rock parodies for our 2013 Nothing But The TRUTH So Help Me God summer concert tour and well  between you and me, I've got to get out of that studio and away from Gary, if ya get his drift! I mean the confines of a small practice space lol
So with that said we're having an open rehearsal concert on Saturday April 13th around 3pm at the new C4 aka Clark County Christian Center located at: 5411 E Mill Plain Blvd ~ Suite 22 ~ Vancouver, WA 98661 ~ 360-828-4158 ~
Come out and and have some fun with us as we dial in the new songs and have have fun with the old ones.

Maybe some of us can show up and give them our support.

Love & Blessings
Carl & Sheila

Fwd: CMA Sunday "FREEDOM HOUSE"

FYI that would be next Sunday! 2/3

Hi All,
Justed wanted to touch base with you about Sundays "Freedom House" visit.
We will still go even if it is raining, we will take cars. If you are bringing snacks for their "Super Bowl" party, I need to get an idea of what we are bringing so the pastor can buy whatever we aren't bringing. If you don't want to go but want to donate, that would be OK too. Please reply to this email and let me know what you are bring so I can call Bruce and let them know. I think he said there were 49 guys there. We will bring 2- 12 packs of pop.
Meeting @ Boppin Bo's parking lot 1:00 PM Sunday
Thanks
Sheila

CMA Updates & Reminders

Hi All"
We hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are looking forward to an amazing year of ministry.
Last year was awesome with so many events and so many of you spending time out there ministering and serving the community.
Thanks to all of you for your support while we have been unable to participate in alot of things.
Carl will be through with his treatment in April so we plan to be out there alot more after that. He is pretty sick most of the time but still dragging himself to work. Please keep praying for him, it does help.
First for this weekend we have George & Shell's (Ruah Riders) wedding reception on Saturday. They have invited our Chapter and have requested that we wear our Colors. Very informal. Here is the info:
Wedding Reception in Vancouver, Saturday, January 12, 2-4PM.  First Church of God, 3300 N.E. 78th Street, Vancouvr.  Hope to see you all there!

Regular meeting Saturday Jan 19 Boppin Bo's 8:30 AM for breakfast, 9:00 meeting.
We are allowed to order things other than breakfast now.
