URGENT: Dec. prayer gathering cancelled

Hi All,

Daniel and I have talked it over. It sounds like a lot of people won't be
able to make it out on the 22nd, so we're going to go ahead and cancel for
this month, but ask that everyone will set some time aside when your
schedule permits to spend time in prayer for the CMA needs/praises. Look for
an email from me with a reminder of the prayer needs that were shared on
Saturday and over the course of the month (I have it saved on my computer at
work, so can't send it out any earlier than tomorrow, 12/22).

Best wishes for a peaceful time with loved ones,

Robbie & Dan

Kate White Band coming to Larch Corrections on Sunday November 22nd

To all who may be interested in going to this. Let me know and maybe we can get a group to go up.

Blessings
Sheila

Hi Doug; if anyone is interested in going up for the Prison Ministry Outreach on the 22nd of November, all they have to do is send an email to : wrcardin@doc1.wa.gov   that is the email of the Chaplain in charge up at Larch Mountain Correctional Facility. They should include their full name, date of birth, address and driver license number; they need to mention that they are asking for clearance to come in on the Nov. 22nd date for the Kate White Band outreach; its that simple; then they just have to be at the the prison by 12 noon sunday afternoon and it will last until about 3:30pm....anyone wanting to come in for this outreach needs to get that info up to the prison asap as it takes one to two weeks to get cleared; so they need to act now.

Also on another note: I have three men who would like to correspond with anyone who would like to write to them: Robert Hall #931275; Cameron Lodahl #307283 and Robert Kosek #329211 This information has to be on the letter in order for them to receive it; the address is: Larch Corrections 15314 NE Dole Valley Road, Yacolt, Wa. 98675
Feel free to forward this email to anyone interested in the Christian Motorcycle Assoc. especially those who have already been up to the prison prior;
Thanks for your assistance and please be in prayer for this event that it will be a success and many men will come out to participate and hear the music and testimonies and that men will come to Christ.

In Christ,
Chaplain Ron Brandon

ron this is doug, let us know how to get set up on line and we will send it out to our members

Hi Sheila,
A local recording group is going to join us and the inmates at Larch Corrections for a concert on Sunday November 22nd from 12:30-4 pm.
We would love to have as many as could join us from the motorcycle club  for this outstanding time of worship and testimony.  The drummer played with 3 dog night many years ago.  They are an outstanding band!
It is very simple to get cleared.  Only a few questions need to be answered. for Chaplain Cardin.  We will let you know how to do this online if folks would like to go.
This is open to anyone that wants to go up, so if there are folks in your churchs etc that would like to join us, they are welcome.  We are meeting in the gym so there should be plenty of room.
The holidays can be a very lonely time for the inmates and we thought this would bring them comfort.

thanks,
Ron and Donna
We should find out who wants to join us as soon as possible.

Report: Pro Caliber Show and Shine

Star Touring put together it's first Show and Shine at Pro Caliber this last Saturday and they did an excellent job!  The event was held to benefit the charity, Bridge the Gap, which provides products and services for teenagers, an often overlooked group with many needs.  They raised approximately $1,500.00.  There were 13 vendor booths set up.  Carl was there bright and early with our CMA booth and Cliff and I helped to set it up.  We were there all day with many CMA members stopping in to enjoy the show and say hello.  We distributed free ice water, (it was REALLLLLY hot, our booth was in the sun all day), CMA bike cleaning cloths, and motorcycle Bibles.  Several riders expressed an interest in joining our chapter.  Cliff and I tried to help out the other vendors and people running the show whenever we saw a need.  There was a bike show with first and second place trophies, free barbecue lunch provided by Pro Caliber, and at least 50 great raffle prizes.  The highlight of the day was the 50/50 drawing.  The total was $1,500.00 so the winner would take home $750.00.  The gentleman who won, I didn't get his name, donated all but $100.00 back to Bridge the Gap.  It was a really well run, well done, enjoyable event.  Hopefully, they will do it again next year.

Helmet Law Info

The attached Group Riding Guidelines were sent to me and I am sharing them with all of you.

There has been much discussion (and a couple of traffic tickets) concerning the newly adopted Washington State Motorcycle Helmet Law (Effective July 26, 2009).  I have provided a very informative website link from the Biker Friendly Bar (Lawyers not alcohol) below.  It contains the actual words of the law and it even has explanations and pictures.   I hope this provides you with the most current information concerning legal motorcycle helmets in Washington State:

Fwd: CMA Ride

This is another event for Sept. that would be good for us all to go on. So mark your Calendar.

----------------------------

Hello Sheila and Carl.
On September 11th (Friday) we are having a free motorcycle run around Clark County to honor and remember fire fighters and their families and would like to invite you and your entire group to participate. We will be visiting 6 major fire stations around the county and making a presentation to each fire station to thank them for their service. Do you think that your members could provide a prayer of remberance at each location? Rich Schlalos is doing the final service at the end, which will be a candlelight vigil and memorial service, but I think that a prayer at each station would be appropriate. Let me know what you think. I have attached a flyer so you can read more about the event.

Prayer Ride 9:00 am Aug 8,

This is a ride that we would like for all to participate in.

Love & Blessings
Carl & Sheila

Sheila,

I attached the flier and put info in the email also.  There are a few details that I did not put on the flier.  The towns we are going to are Camas, Battle Ground, LaCenter, Ridgefield, and Vancouver in that order.  We have a route that goes though the back roads avoiding traffic, traffic lights where possible and providing a nicer ride.  We plan on doing the speed limit because of safety reasons.  We will have designated some one to lead the prayer at each location so that we can control the time.  We have allowed 15 minutes max at each location.  If we have everyone pray at each location it could easily go much longer.  The ride time is about 2.5 hours.  That should answer most of the questions you might get.

Talk to you later.  Oh, one more thing we have changed our name to CrossPointe Riders because of conflicts with another group.

In His service
Doug and
Leona
