The words "Christian responsibility" comes through to me as a misnomer. When I hear someone use that term they are usually trying to describe something I must do if I am going to be a Christian. I prefer the term "Christian response." I "respond" to Jesus Christ, but I tend to get burdened down by thinking I have a "responsibility" toward Him. I mean, how could I possibly, as a mortal being, assert myself as ever having fulfilled my responsibility to the God of the universe? It's presumptuous.
