Are You Committed?

LOVE WORTH FINDING from Chaplain Al

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

The words "Christian responsibility" comes through to me as a misnomer. When I hear someone use that term they are usually trying to describe something I must do if I am going to be a Christian. I prefer the term "Christian response." I "respond" to Jesus Christ, but I tend to get burdened down by thinking I have a "responsibility" toward Him. I mean, how could I possibly, as a mortal being, assert myself as ever having fulfilled my responsibility to the God of the universe? It's presumptuous. By my responding to Him, I am set free, but......

COURT SETS ATHEISTS HOLIDAY

Have you heard about this case?     Great answer from the judge!
In
Florida, an atheist became incensed over the preparation of Easter and Passover holidays. He decided to contact his lawyer about the discrimination inflicted on atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Christians and Jews with all their holidays while atheists had no holiday to celebrate.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the long passionate presentation by the lawyer, the Judge banged his gavel and declared, 'Case dismissed!'

The lawyer immediately stood and objected to the ruling and said, 'Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss th is case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and many other observances. Jews have
Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah...yet my client and all other atheists have no such holiday!'

The judge leaned forward in his chair and simply said, 'Obviously your client is too confused to even know about, much less celebrate his own atheists' holiday!'

The lawyer pompously said, 'Your Honor, we are unaware of any such holiday for atheists. Just when might that holiday be, your Honor?'

The judge said, 'Well it comes every year on exactly the same date---April 1st! Since our calendar sets April 1st as '
April Fools Day,' consider that Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, in my opinion, if your client says there is no God, then by scripture, he is a fool, and April 1st is his holiday! Now have a good day and get out of my courtroom!!

Way to go, Judge!

Lunch @ Billigans

We had a great lunch at Billigans and then visited the Hazeldell AofG church.

After a quick stop at Love Leathers, the group went to a member's house for a visit.  The weather was great and provided a good chance to enjoy each other's company before tomorrow's rain comes.

President's Thoughts

I would like to dedicate this time to the memory of Hap Stanley. Hap just recently started coming back to  our  meetings so some of you probably did not know him and his wife Jerry. He and his wife have been involved in the biker ministry for over twenty years with work in the prison ministry feeding the homeless and reaching out to people in need. At his celebration of life ceremony quite a few people gave testimony of how he touched  their lives. Some in drug addiction,  some supplying food and shelter to them and some just general wisdom on how to live for God. Hap was a faithful servant to the Lord. I know he is seated with Jesus at the right hand of God now. I also know that he was honored into the kingdom with "well done good and faithful servant !"     We can only hope that we can leave that great of a legacy when its our turn. So, Good bye for now Hap and we will see you soon.

Women's Ministry by Sheila Bevard

Well, the weather is warming up and it's time to get refreshed and ready for Ministry.
Season's of Refreshing will be next weekend ( Mar 14-15 )in Yakima and we hope some of you will try to go.
It is a time of teaching and fellowship with other CMA groups and getting refreshed to minister in the coming Season. If you plan to go, you can get the registration online. Carl & I will be going. You will need to reserve a room or take a camper. ( sometimes there are cancellations and you can get last minute rooms )
Don't forget the Regular meeting next weekend also. For you that are not going to Season's of Refreshing, Doug & Debbie will running the meeting
We need donations for our "Run for the Son" fundraiser that we do at our meeting. If you have anything to donate. Bring it to the meeting. We will also need to start collecting items for our Goody Bags that we give away at our events.
We had our "Women's night out" last month. It went well but it got a little big so we didn't get to fellowship like I had hoped. We will plan another one soon that will be on a smaller scale. If you have any ideas or would like to host one at your house, please let me know. We could do BUNKO or something fun.
We send our Love & prayers to Jerri Stanley and family for their loss of Hap last month. We can delight in knowing that he is with the Lord. I have learned a lot about Hap lately and he made an awesome contribution to the Lord's work. He spent his life serving God & man. He will be greatly missed. Hap & Jerri have been long time CMA members. Thanks to all who attended the "Celebration of life" for Hap.
Please make sure you check out the website www.waccc.org Richard does a lot of work on it and keeps it up to date so fast it amazes me. If you have anything you would like on the website contact: richard@waccc.org
Have a great month and we'll see ya soon
Love & Blessings
Sheila
