WACCC on FaceBook

I know there are a few FaceBook fans out there.  I’m experimenting with a FaceBook page that could be used in conjunction with our WACCC.org page.  FaceBook is very interactive and allows you to provide more feedback.  There’s a discussion area, more room for photos, and plenty of ways to connect.  If you’re interested in taking a look,  click on the link below.

CMA UPDATES

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL'
We hope you all had a Great Christmas, celebrating our Lord and Savior!!!
We had our meeting last Saturday and was surprised to see so many of you, since the weather was so much fun LOL! We had 17 there. Rich Lange was there after traveling all the way from Spokane the night before. We were happy to see him.
We discussed the Jones Creek Trail Riders "Hangover Scramble" . ( Flyer enclosed )Those of you who plan to go and help with this, need to let me know ASAP so I can give them the list of names so you will get in free. They will have a meeting at 6:00AM before things get going. So you can plan to be there then or sometime soon after. The event starts at 8:00AM. I have enclosed the flyer.so you can see what is going on. It was very cold out there last year, so you will need to dress warm.
The Polar Bear run is the same day for those of you who want to attend that.
We have re-scheduled our Christmas party for Tuesday Jan 13th at Don & Patti's. It will be Potluck and we will still do our Cut Throat gift exchange and our drawings for the Leather Jackets, helmets, etc.
We will have our Officers meeting before the party at 6:00PM and the Party will follow at 7:00.
We voted on giving Open House Ministries Shelter, $100.00 from our chapter funds and the proceeds from the drawings.
Please keep Billy & Cheryl and the rest of our members who are having financial difficulties during this economy, in your prayers.
Also keep Chris Lack and his family in your prayers as he is being deployed to Iraq in a couple months.

We hope to see you all soon and pray for a Happy & prosperous New Year.

CMA Emergency

Hi Everyone,
Carl and I have been talking tonight and it is really on our hearts to help the homeless during this terribly cold weather. The only thing we can come up with is to gather up coats, hats, gloves, blankets, etc. and take them downtown Vancouver to distribute them, to the homeless.
If you are interested in helping with distributing or donating,(or both) please contact me ASAP! I will start gathering things tomorrow and take them down there Tuesday. As I sit here in my nice warm house, I am feeling aweful!
Thanks for your quick response.

PRAYER REQUEST

Dear CMA family,

We would like to share an urgent need that we have. Sarai Ameca, daughter of Manuel and Ortencia Ameca the President of CMA Mexico, has been in the United States for 4 months working as an intern at the CMA Support Center. She was recently taken to the hospital in Mena, AR and is currently in Intensive Care. Her pancreas has stopped producing insulin and she has been diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic. The Ameca family does not have insurance. Please add her and her family to your prayers during this time. We are setting up a fund for Sarai and her family to help offset the medical expenses and help support them while they are in the United States. If you would like to donate to this fund, you can call the CMA Support Center at

870-389-6196 extension 248 to make a credit/debit card donation or send a check with a Sarai Ameca in the memo field to the CMA Support Center at PO Box 9, Hatfield, AR 71945.

PRAYER REQUEST

I have a prayer request that I would like you to forward on to all your Christian contacts.

A wonderful servant of our Lord has gone home. Pastor Don Holmes of southern Oregon died a little of a week ago. He was a man who dearly loved the Lord. From years of faithful service, he had an incredible impact on many lives, including my own.

His widow Linda, has asked for prayer regarding their home. She needs it to sell quickly.

I respectfully ask that everyone who receives this e-mail, lift this situation up before the Lord in unity of prayer. God knows all the details.

Thank you,
Steve Clayborn

Lori's Mission trip to Columbia

This is a letter Lori sent me today. Please keep her in your prayers. She will be gone Nov 7-16.

Hello friends and family,

I am leaving tomorrow, Friday the 7th, for a mission trip to Columbia, South America with the Christian Motorcyclists Association.  I will be gone until the 16th.

This is very new to me since I have never even been on an airplane before!  I will definitely be out of my comfort zone on a daily basis while I am asked to minister and teach.

This is a grand adventure for me, and something I have always wanted to do.  I would appreciate all of you praying for me on a daily basis while I am gone.  Not only for my safety, but for my effectiveness and the ability of the Holy Spirit to guide my tongue and my actions.  Thank you.

Blessings,

CMA

Hi Everyone,
Just a few quick reminders. Tomorrow 10/18 is the regular meeting at Hometown Buffet (Vancouver) 8:30AM for breakfast, 9:00 for meeting.
Also I wanted to mention something else. As most of you know, Lori Nutting won the CMA Missions trip to Columbia in November. The trip is paid for, from Texas to Columbia, but the rest of the expense is her responsibility. It turns out that she will need to, buy airline ticket & get a room in Texas and her shots were very expensive. The Chapter has voted unanimously to help out with expenses, but the funds are limited, so we are asking that, anyone who feels led to contibute to help Cliff & Lori, it would be greatly appreciated. They will be at the meeting Saturday or you can respond to this email and I will send you their mailing address.
Thank you so much for all of your generosity. You are awesome.

CMA at Latus

Carl and Sheila, I was at the Latus Motors "end of the summer barbeque" on Saturday (killing time) between our chapter meeting and the Wedding at 2pm. (seems the Lord had a plan for me greater then "killing time"!!! I was just hanging out listening to the band, talking to a few bikers and watching a gal purchasing her first Harley (2009 Harley-Davidson XL 1200N Sportster 1200 Nightster ) Unfortunately when she was taking off for her first ride she evidently got confused and rolled on the throttle and when full bore into the barbeque tent loaded with people. I being fortunately trained as a EMT ran to her aid and was able to stabilize her and assess her condition and call 911. Another biker (Gladstone Fire battalion chief) rushed to help me as well. Once we determined that her injuries and that of two others was not life threatening I took the opportunity to ask her If I could pray for her and the others (she promptly agreed and I was joined by several others and prayed! When I was finished the Paramedics arrived and was able to get her and one other on to a backboard and transport them to the Hospital for further evaluation. (note) a young lady came up to me afterwards and told me she hoped I didn't mind that she had joined me in prayer also. I believe that Because I wore my CMA colors, and had the full armor of God with me that the enemy was defeated (again) and God got the Glory!!) THANK YOU JESUS FOR USING ME AGAIN!! Tim

Upcoming Unity Ride

Saturday, September 20th is the Unity Ride sponsored by the Wheels of Grace Magazine.  This ride is being held on the same date and time at other locations across the United States to benefit the Angel Tree program, for the children of incarcerated individuals.  Angel Tree is a part of the Prison Fellowship Organization .  CMA Prison Ministries has a major part in this effort to see that each child receives a Christmas gift from their absent parent.

That is where each of your chapters comes into the picture.  At this time we have children residing in Mason, Cowlitz,  Pierce and Franklin Counties that we can bless by providing gifts this Christmas.

I ask each of you to present this to your chapters and pray about what we can do collectively to show the love of Jesus to His children.   Asking for money and/or gifts during these tough economic times is not easy, but we believe that God will provide for His children through all of us and that HE is big enough to meet all of our needs.

Isn't it great to be a Christian?  We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday, Sept 20th for the Unity Ride where we will have a chance to show what Christians are all about!!

TRR/CMA Prayer Request

Trinity Road Riders/CMA member Ted Hall's mom has just been diagnosed with a large lump on her Pancreas and has been admitted to the hospital. We are requesting prayer over the doctors and their hands in taking care of this and if surgery is to happen. Ted has told me that she may just have days left but this may have been speculation on his part. Not sure if he heard this from the doctors.
I hope to get an update Wednesday on her condition. Ted knows that we will all be praying for his mom and the whole family. As far as I am aware she has been a believer for many years.
Thanks for all your prayers and God Bless

Iron mountain road, in Custer State Park

Friends,

Ok, here is one shot of a section of windy road in SD.

Tim

Note from Tim

Well we are back from Sturgis, Indescribable was the whole week!! We drove
as quick as possible, but aver nearly 20 hours we decided at Pasco that it
was unsafe to push on and pulled over and took what ended up to be a two
hour cat nap! I dropped Todd off and raced home and unloaded my bike and
rode back to see Jerry Mataya. Unfortunately he passed from this life just
30 minutes before I got to his house. Praise God he fought a good fight and
proved the enemy defeated! Jerry is now in Heaven where there is not
pot-holes, no cars to cut in front of him and endless winding roads! When I
got to the house Pastor JD was there along with Linda, and there 3
daughters. I stayed as we all said our goodbyes, reveled in Jerry's love for
his family and his love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He Loved the Lord,
and just a short time ago Jerry told me that when he regained his health he
wanted to Join CMA and ride with us to win for Christ the unsaved in the
biker world.

I also found out that last week he climbed aboard Linda's Trike and with
another biker (Terry) they started off for Sturgis! Unfortunately the trike
broke down in the Dalles, so they turned back. (Jerry was really
disappointed that he didn't make it to the 68th bike week!

I didn't know him all that long but God put us together and I had grown to
admire him for his tenacity and Love for life! He was a great father,
husband and friend to many!

The family is planning a Memorial on Friday (around 4pm) at JD's Church. (
I will let you guys know, if you decide to come, I am sure the family will
find it comforting. (I plan on working even harder in winning Souls aboard
the HD Ultra I purchased from Jerry.

Please continue to pray for Comfort and peace for Jerry's family that are
grieving during this difficult time.

God's Speed,

Tim

2008 JCTRA Rock'n'Roll Poker Run, August 24th. Volunteers needed.

The Rock'n'Roll Poker Run will be held Sunday, August 24th, at the Jones Creek OHV area East of Vancouver, Washington. The event is put on by our club the Jones Creek Trail Riders Association (www.jctra.org) . JCTRA is an all volunteer, registered non-profit club and all profits from the event fund trail maintenance at Jones Creek. The event is a dirt bike and ATV poker run event with a large raffle following the poker run. We generally get 250+ riders at the event.

What we need is about a ten (10) people to mainly help riders find places to park and other duties around the staging area before the event. We are asking most volunteers to arrive by 6:30 AM on event day and be expected to stay until around 4:00 PM. Parking duty volunteers would need to arrive at 6:30 AM, but would be able to leave most likely before noon.

Volunteers will receive a special "Event Staff" tee shirt and we hope to feed everyone during the event.

Contact Carl and Sheila to sign up.
