Memorial Day Ride to Cannon Beach
| Ruah Riders, Longview Chapter. Subject: Outstanding Day, Fantastic Ride Hello Everyone: What a great Memorial Day we shared yesterday! We gathered together at 10:00 AM at Old School Choppers. Present was the largest number of people/bikes we have ever had on a "Run," 23 motorcycles, 28 people, plus the owners of a BMW sidecar, and a Trike. The Old School Choppers parking lot was full. Due to the number of bikes, we divided into two groups. I pulled tail with the first group, and what a sight to behold going down the highways. Our journey led us through Mist, stopping for a break at Burkenfeld. Then on to Camp 18 for lunch, and a good time of fellowship. After lunch we proceeded to Cannon Beach, and Ice Cream! We spit into three groups coming home, some via the Oregon side, and some via the Washington side. A special thanks to Bob Johnson, Road Captain, for personally phoning every person on our mailing list, and more. Though E-Mail notices are sent for Ruah Riders upcoming events, and rides, nothing takes the place of personal contacts. Others, like Paul Owen, helped a couple from their church finish a home project Sunday afternoon to enable them to participate in our Memorial Day ride. I hope to see Justin, and Jessica return. Three Cross Country Cyclist's from Vancouver blessed us with their presence. Paul, and Buck served us well stopping on-coming traffic so we could make left hand turns crossing roads, and highways. Big thanks to Bob Johnson for leading group #1, and Jerry Braden for leading group #2. Many of you invited friends. It was a privilege to meet Bob's Son, and Daughter-in-law from Nashville. Dorothy even invited a total stranger she was speaking with at Old School Choppers to come, and he did! Our continuing growth, and outreach depends on members like you, and the sacrifices you make in serving God, and His people. I feel so privileged to belong to our CMA Chapter, and to have friends like you. Memories to last a lifetime.

Washougal MX Ministry - July 25,26,27
I am excited for this awesome opportunity for CMA to reach a new generation of motorcyclists at the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross races at Washougal in July. I want to thank everyone who has agreed to serve with us, without you we would not have this nationally impacting ministry opportunity. Alan and Dixie Moore have been especially helpful in establishing a relationship with the owners/promoters of the Washougal MX track. Steve Schiller, Washington 's Fastlane Rep has also been instrumental in helping organize the logistics for CMA's involvement at Washougal.
Our goal at this event is to truly serve the Huffman family by doing an excellent job and embodying the mission of CMA by being available wherever we are needed, by doing so we hope to open the door to serve again next year with greater numbers. We have been told several times that this event is going to be physically demanding and will include being on our feet for up to twelve hours a day in the hot sun, in dusty conditions with loud exhaust noise and have minimal breaks. This process will repeat itself on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We are still communicating with the Huffman family about the details and will keep you informed about what to expect.
I would encourage you to follow the 2009 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship series. I will be sending out updates about the series, riders, teams, tracks and race results. It would be helpful and important to be informed about this series so that we can relate with the crowd and make it easier to minister to them.
Here is the information about round one:

Here's a video wrap up of round one:

I am excited to meet all of you and work as a CMA team at this year's AMA Washougal Motocross race.

Prayer request
_________
Hi Sheila,
We got word this morning around 9:30am, that Annie's son has died after he rolled his pickup truck. We are now in Chico, Ca to help make all the necessary arrangements and to have a service for him. His name was Jeff May and he was just 34 years old. We had a long trip down here, after rushing home with the travel trailer and packing up the car & driving down here. We will probably be here most of the week. Please pray for Annie, as she is taking it hard.
Thanks for your prayers!!

Testimonies from the Motorcycle Gathering/Safety Fair event
Here is another reply from a Couple that attended the Event on Saturday! (Todd is the guy I went to Sturgis with last year on the "Triumph Rocket"
I invited him to the event a month or so ago and as God could only do (he was sitting in a parking lot at work on Friday looking at his calendar and listening to the radio when at the same time he "re-read my email invite" and KPAM radio station advertised the event!!!
"
Tim, thanks for the invite to this rally. We thought it was very well organized and seemed really well attended given the cold, rainy weather. It was good to focus on the safety aspect of riding - that brings in the law enforcement element and gives the whole thing a good underlying theme.
By the way, I took my $100 gift card along with some other funds and purchased one of those full-faced, flip up helmets. Now I can use my drink holder and get a sip to drink while riding by flipping up the helmet. Teresa wanted my current full faced helmet anyway so it worked out great.
Hope to see you out there this summer!
Todd"

Thank you from Tim
To all who helped & participated, at the event, this is for you from Tim Randall
Thank you, thank you!!
I apologize for all the "tense" times, that I let (show) I never imagined that this event would be so demanding and logistically complex. (Like many of you, likely putting together something like this was first. IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN DONE WITHOUT THE HELP OF ALL OF YOU COLLECTIVELY!!
It was told to me that at one time there were 65 bikes parked and in the neighborhood of 120 came and went throughout the day! Not bad for the iffy weather! There were some very unique bikes at the event, (all electric, old school triumph, Cushman 1ton with scooter!, and lots of Harleys and street bikes!
It pays to be a CMA KID and a hard worker! (Ask Chanse how many door prizes he won from tickets given to him by people that chose to leave early?) Congratulations to Don for winning both "best bike". I truly believe we (with Gods providence) accomplished our goal to show our chapter approved to our community. I have scheduled a follow-up "debrief" with the law enforcement agencies, tentatively on Thursday at 11am at I hop. (anyone wishing to attend) please contact me so I can e-mail confirm) we will add up the receipts for purchases and compare to the intake from Door-prize sales and report to all the balance—(run for the son contribution). What a blessing all the sponsors and participants were as well! I can't remember "any" rally I have been to that had ½ the door prizes we offered in (a 3 hour) period of time!! At last count I hear of over 300 tickets sold!!
Next time you see a County official, (Commissioner Marc Boldt) came by) please join me in a word of thanks! I will be writing a thank your email to all Participant/Sponsors in the next few days and it will be sent on behalf of "all the CCC chapter members"
This was your/ our event, I just "thought up the idea" THANKS AGAIN-----NOW IT IS NIGHT, NIGHT TIME!!!
We are blessed!!
